Who is ready to live forever?
The daily labor of becoming infinite.
To most, this is a question of fantasy. But it is not. I know. It’s sort of a categorical answer. It’s not an instant of magic that would make this happen; rather, it’s a kind of work that we, humans, could focus on. What kind of work? Some call it energy work, some call it healing, some call it spirituality. And it is some of all of that. Just some. The work without the certainty that it is possible to live forever would not take us too far. Yes, we will be spiritual for a long time and feel good about it. But what’s the point of that?
If you think it’s worth a chance learning about who we are, how the world works, and what our place in it is, you are in the right place. Whether you believe in the existence of a higher force, an organizing principle, a generous God, or in nothing at all, I believe we are here to evolve into something that we can’t even imagine today. You don’t need to change any of your beliefs. It will all come together in a very personal way, just for each of you.
We won’t go at it blind. There’s plenty of ancient wisdom to support us on our journey!
The Source of the Work
I am an artist, photographer, writer, Kabbalah student and meditation guide, and since I was very young, I had a pulsing feeling that we had to try to understand who we are, why things happen to us, and why people leave this world. I have met a lot of people along the way who are also trying to develop a deep understanding of the world around us. But the people who have influenced me the most are the ones who know what they are focused on: arriving at our inevitable destiny—to live forever in the orderly, loving and peaceful world that lays right under the chaos and pain we see everyday, guided by the Light of the Creator. (Again, this is not a religious space. Bring your own language, lifestyle and beliefs. Start where you are, as you are.)
Yes, we might have good days, amazing days even, but the way things are right now, instead of expecting that joy to be our normal state, we enjoy those little bits of feeling good because, well, they might not last forever.
Sad. Totally up to us.
My work, my meditations, friends, classes, books, and the world around me have also helped me understand that the goal to become infinite is not a dream, but a gift of the Creator to humanity. Yet we must endeavor to reveal this, and many other gifts, through our intentional effort.
Light Art Soul is the thinking, writing and sharing space of my art studio, LightArtSoul.com. Here I share part of my own process of uncovering that potential. Remember, I am a student too! I share what I learn as I am learning it—not as a teacher, but as a student of life who wants to give to others some of the wisdom I have been blessed to learn.
The Way I Practice
There are two key aspects of how I want to share my experiences and to, hopefully, inspire you to find your own path.
First, this work needs consistency and a willingness to be and do what you came here to be and do. Second, all creation—including us—operates within a system that we want to understand to be able to overcome it.
Good intentions or wishful thinking are a good start. But action is necessary. I will share some practices, mainly from Kabbalah, that will guide how we realign our goals, purpose, and actions every day. We want to know, and feel, that we are enhancing our human experience in a very meaningful way.
A Step Further
I invite you to turn these writings into a life-transforming practice. It’s not always easy. We are here to do the work that most avoid: the dismantling of the gravity that pulls us in undesired directions, revealing the greatness of our soul and our original, ever-present connection to the Light with the singular purpose of achieving our maximum potential.
